Elderberries are the small, dark-colored, tart fruits of the Sambucus tree, and elderflower is the flowers of the same tree.

Elderberries are rich in vitamins A, B, and C, plus flavonoids and anthocyanins, which are powerful antioxidants.

Elderflower contains some of these same nutrients but in lower concentrations.

Both have similar uses, like the treatment of colds, support of a healthy immune system, to reduce seasonal allergies, and keep you well during times like the flu season.

The flavor of elderberry tea is similar to blueberry tea, with a sweet and tart taste.

Elderflower tea has a more subtle flavor that people described to be a sort of floral and slightly sweet flavor.

Elderberry teas tend to be more tart and robust and have a strong taste compared to elderflower tea.
